Some of these sites have very sophisticated search engines and it's really worthwhile taking the time to learn how to use them.

For example, if I just search house plans for "Contemporary" at ePlans I'm presented with 1,134 plans. That's a lot of plans to look through.

But what if I only wanted to search plans for Contemporary homes between 2500 and 3500 square feet, with four bedrooms, a main floor laundry and a fireplace.

Now I'm presented with 196 plans. That's a lot easier to scan through.

But wait, I forgot... my dream home must have a finished walkout basement.

Now we've narrowed the search down to 5 results. That's more like it.

But you must also remember that any of these plans can be customized. So if you find a plan that is ALMOST what you're looking for, it's easy to have changes made.
